These Terms and Conditions govern your use of AutoTranz car rental services. By making a reservation or using our services, you agree to be bound by these terms.

1. Rental Agreement

By renting a vehicle from AutoTranz, you enter into a rental agreement that includes these terms and conditions. The rental period begins when you take possession of the vehicle and ends when you return it to our designated location.

2. Driver Requirements

Age Requirement: You must be at least 21 years old to rent a vehicle. Drivers under 25 may be subject to additional fees.
Valid License: You must possess a valid driver's license issued by your country of residence. International drivers must have a valid international driving permit.
Clean Record: Your driving record must be free of major violations, DUI convictions, or license suspensions within the past 3 years.
Credit Card: A valid credit card in your name is required for security deposit and payment.

3. Vehicle Use and Restrictions

Authorized Drivers: Only drivers listed on the rental agreement are permitted to operate the vehicle.
Geographic Limits: Vehicles may not be driven outside specified geographic areas without prior written permission.
Prohibited Uses: Vehicles may not be used for commercial purposes, racing, towing, or transporting hazardous materials.
Smoking Policy: Smoking is strictly prohibited in all rental vehicles.
Pet Policy: Pets are allowed only in designated pet-friendly vehicles with additional cleaning fees.

4. Payment and Fees

Rental Charges: Base rental rate, taxes, and mandatory fees are charged at the time of reservation.
Security Deposit: A security deposit will be held on your credit card during the rental period.
Additional Charges: Extra charges may apply for fuel, mileage overage, late returns, cleaning, or damage.
Payment Methods: We accept major credit cards. Cash payments are not accepted for vehicle rentals.

5. Insurance and Protection

Basic Coverage: All rentals include basic liability coverage as required by law.
Optional Protection: Additional coverage options are available for collision damage waiver, personal accident insurance, and roadside assistance.
Your Insurance: Your personal auto insurance may provide coverage. Please check with your insurance provider.
Damage Responsibility: You are responsible for any damage to the vehicle during the rental period.

6. Vehicle Return

Return Time: Vehicles must be returned by the agreed-upon time to avoid late fees.
Fuel Policy: Vehicles must be returned with the same fuel level as when rented, or fuel charges will apply.
Inspection: All vehicles are inspected upon return for damage, cleanliness, and mechanical condition.
Late Returns: Late returns are subject to additional charges and may affect future rental eligibility.

7. Cancellation and Modification

Cancellation Policy: Reservations may be cancelled up to 24 hours before pickup time without penalty.
Modification Policy: Changes to reservations are subject to availability and may incur additional charges.
No-Show Policy: Failure to pick up a reserved vehicle may result in cancellation fees.
Refund Policy: Refunds are processed according to the original payment method within 5-10 business days.

8. Vehicle Maintenance and Breakdowns

Regular Maintenance: All vehicles undergo regular maintenance and safety inspections.
Breakdown Assistance: 24/7 roadside assistance is available for mechanical breakdowns.
Vehicle Replacement: If a vehicle becomes inoperable, we will provide a replacement vehicle when possible.
Maintenance Responsibility: Renters are responsible for checking fluid levels and reporting any issues immediately.

9. Prohibited Activities

Illegal Use: Vehicles may not be used for any illegal activities or purposes.
Impaired Driving: Driving under the influence of alcohol or drugs is strictly prohibited.
Off-Road Use: Vehicles may not be driven off-road or on unpaved surfaces unless specifically designed for such use.
Unauthorized Modifications: No modifications or alterations to the vehicle are permitted.

10. Liability and Indemnification

You agree to indemnify and hold AutoTranz harmless from any claims, damages, or expenses arising from your use of the rental vehicle, including but not limited to traffic violations, accidents, or misuse of the vehicle.

11. Limitation of Liability

AutoTranz's liability is limited to the rental charges paid. We are not liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from the rental or use of our vehicles.

12. Privacy and Data Protection

Your personal information is collected and used in accordance with our Privacy Policy. We may share information with law enforcement, insurance companies, or other parties as required by law.

13. Dispute Resolution

Governing Law: These terms are governed by the laws of the jurisdiction where the rental occurs.
Dispute Process: Any disputes will first be addressed through our customer service department.
Arbitration: Unresolved disputes may be subject to binding arbitration.

14. Modifications to Terms

AutoTranz reserves the right to modify these terms and conditions at any time. Changes will be posted on our website and will apply to rentals made after the effective date.
